    Absolutely do both! They will complement each other nicely.

    Getting leads on FaceBook and twitter and then using the website for landing/sales/info pages, etc. is a great strategy.

    For SEO, Definitely a Wordpress Blog. You can also use a Free Traffic-Getting SEO Plugin that you can use to grab more free traffic from the search engines.

    All you have to do it plug it into your blog and his software does all the rest.

    I would recommend focusing on SEO – It will probably be better in the short term and certainly better in the long term.

    I would do both:

    I would build a Wordpress website and would also promote the WP website on Facebook. However, SEO is the best way to go for targetted traffic.

    Obviously Wordpress is much better as it is more flexible and you can add lots of things that are limited on Facebook. However, you can also make a Facebook later on when you are done with your wordpress blogs. You can have a good network on Facebook and then you can put a link there leading to Wordpress. Good luck.
