If you are can afford $50-75, I strongly suggest either iThemes or StudioPress. They have excellent themes to choose from. I use both and have purchased their packages to use on customer's websites.

I also like SoloStream and Woo Themes. I have not tried Elegant Themes, but they look awesome and are only $19 for a complete package of all their themes.

There's also http://www.wpthemespot.com for free themes. I've used the studio press themes and think they are really good. If you have a bit of php knowledge most themes are really easy to customize. Theoretically you should be able to choose any layout for your website using Wordpress.

    Good Luck!

Just search Google for Wordpress themes. Are you looking for free themes or premium – paid themes?

Maybe you will find something on my WP themes site http://www.wpmix.com

There is no "best source" for themes. Because anyone can develop WP themes, there are many, many sources. You can certainly begin your search with the thousands of themes available on the WordPress site, or simply do a search for "WordPress themes" and take a look.
